Maggie. Sweet Maggie. What would I do without you? Ummm...that’s a hard question! Today’s post is going to be all about my best friend Maggie. She is moving in eight-ish days, so we are soaking up every minute with her! *she is in store for a huge surprise*
The last day of summer, we got a new friend in our neighborhood! Isn’t that great?! Her name was Maggie. I remember Ella saying, “There is a new girl who just moved in behind me! She seems really sweet. And guess what...she is riding the bus with us to!”. I wasn’t all that happy. I wasn’t opposed to the idea, although I wasn’t bursting through the seams. Ha! We met Maggie at the pool, and started talking. We talked. Talked. And talked. She seemed super nice! We met all the girls at a house, and talked. Sweet Maggie, she had no idea what was going on! We were loud, crazy, and making a ton of funimates! She went home. Sigh. I felt so bad! She had to “go home and tell her mom where she was” Then she came back! Since then I have declared us the Water’s Girls! Then the first day of school came. We decided ‘oh we’ll sit by Maggie on the bus’. That was a great idea! We sat, talked, and talked a lot more because we were late to school that day. Poor Maggie was like, “Will this happen everyday?” No friend. I hope not. HaHa! After that I was friends with Maggie, but not besties. I mean, we would talk and hang out, but never by ourselves. Flash forward to about a month ago, I really was starting to like Maggie. We were hanging out, and talking a lot more! I realized how darn sweet she was! God put Maggie in my life of a reason, and that reason was to give me advice! Thanks for everything you have given me Mags! You will be missed!
Maggie,
It feels like just yesterday you moved in. When I sit back, and think about how long ago it was, well, it doesn't feel like a full year. I know I can tell you anything, and you won’t tell anybody. I know I can ask you advice, and you will always help. I know you will always cheer me up, as you would anyone. You have always been there for me. Times you were most likely upset with me, or really annoyed, you would help me through it. I also know God has great plans for you! He will use you in great ways! Ways to help the world become a better place! He knows what he's doing sending you away. He is doing it for a reason. A reason we don’t understand right now, but a reason. I am sitting in math class, crying. I mean wow Kate. Wow. I just can’t help myself. You have been such a great friend, and I do not want you to leave. I will always remember the laughs, and the memories. I will cherish those forever. (It is taking me forever to write this because my hands are shaking so bad! Ha!) I have never had a friend quite like you. There will never be another Maggie! Mags. Sweet Maggie. You are the nicest person I have ever met. People can be mean! Not you. I have a list of the nicest people I have ever met and you are at the top. (Ha! List: Maggie, Lily Mac, Addie, T-Belle, Ava, Ella, Scarlett, Reese...not in that order though! HaHa!) Maggie, I can’t wait to see the amazing plans God has for your life! I want you to have the best time in your new life! No matter how much it pains he to say it, I really do want you to have the best time, make new friends, and get used to your new school. I know it will be hard, for all of us. Although we will get through it! Friend-I hope I never, ever forget you. You are so special! Thanks for being my best friend through the good and the bad! Love you bestie!
